Thankfulness and praise come to mind in this Holiday Season. As you reflect, what are you thankful for?

1 Thessalonians 5:18 reminds us that in every thing, every situation, every life circumstance we are to give thanks because this is God's will for us in Christ Jesus. Even as Thanksgiving and Christmas are times of celebrations and appreciation we know that many face challenges. Yet, we are reminded to be thankful!  What does being thankful do for us, and what does our thankfulness do for others?

I am thankful for Christ in my life and because He is I can give thanks for the good, the bad and the ugly things that come my way,  Yes, I don't pretend that I am "happy" all the time.  I go with what I know by faith and that is that God will work ALL things together for my good. He alone is my source and so I expect good even as I'm tried by all that we experience in this day and time!

I am and will continue to be thankful for God's grace and mercy. Without these gifts, I would not be blessed with my family, friends and life itself.

I am thankful to see 2017 with a portion of health, right mind, place of shelter, worship, family, friends and a loving God to talk to in all difficult times.
